Sanwa Kagaku Kenkyusho operates two manufacturing plants, both of which boast global-standard quality assurance systems, and strong cost competitiveness. These plants manufacture Suzuken's products, as well as pharmaceuticals for other companies under contract. The FUKUSHIMA PRODUCTION PARK and Kumamoto Factory between them have the capacity to produce 2.3 billion tablets annually and have manufacturing technologies for all solid formulations, including sugar-coated and film-coated pills as well as granules made with a variety of granulation processes.

Innovative technology for high-quality production
|
|
Dry-coated tablets are a type of tablet with exceptional qualities. Production of these tablets using conventional methods required two processes: one for making the core part of the tablet beforehand, and one for re-tableting to put the core at the center, but tableting in this way often encountered quality-related problems, such as the core slipping from the center. SKK reduced this manufacturing sequence to just one process on the basis of an entirely new idea and created a technology capable of completely rectifying the problem of slippage from the center and other quality-related issues. The company has already jointly developed a large-scale tableting machine with a machine tooling company for use in actual production. This dry-coated tableting technology (OSD‚’C(R): One-Step Dry-Coating System) allows for the design and manufacture of high value-added formulations at a low cost, including tablets with complex release properties and those that disintegrate quickly in the mouth, as well as formulations for which capsules were once the only option. |
